1. General information only

Everything published on CricLane.in — match reports, scorecards, standings, rankings, fantasy analysis, academy and coach listings, tournament listings and shop content — is general information and commentary about cricket. It is not professional, legal, financial, medical or investment advice, and it is not an inducement to enter into any transaction.

CricLane is published by Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi. Nothing on this site creates an adviser–client, agency or fiduciary relationship between you and us. You should take your own advice before acting on anything you read here.

2. Editorial independence

Our editorial desk is independent of our commercial side. Organiser listing fees and shop revenue keep the lights on, but paying us does not buy a favourable write-up, a higher ranking, a better verification badge or immunity from criticism. No advertiser, sponsor, organiser or academy sees or approves editorial before publication.

Where a piece is commercially arranged it is labelled at the top of the page. Our rankings and indices are calculated from published match data by a fixed model; they are not editable by request, by a club, or by us on behalf of a partner. Analysts who write about a club they play for, coach at or are related to declare that connection in the byline. Columns and analysis represent the personal view of the named writer at the time of publication, not an official CricLane position — Prakash Iyengar and Nandita Bose disagreeing in the same week is the point, not a failure.

3. Live scores — accuracy, latency and provisional data

CricLane live scores are entered ball by ball by club officials using our free scorer app, not by CricLane staff and not from an official broadcast feed. That means:

• They lag. A delivery reaches the site only after the scorer has entered it and the device has a signal. Roughly a third of the grounds we cover have no usable data connection, so an innings may sync in a burst several overs after it was played.
• They are provisional. Boundaries get reviewed, catches get referred, no-balls get called late, and a scorer can correct an entry that was displayed a minute earlier.
• They can be wrong. Human scorers make mistakes, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Our live displays are an indication of the state of play, never an official record. Do not rely on them for anything that matters — a selection decision, a bet, a contest entry or a dispute at the ground.

The animated scoreboards on this website’s marketing pages are a cosmetic simulation for demonstration purposes and are not a live feed of any real match.

4. Statistics, standings and rankings

Post-match statistics are frequently revised — a scoring decision is changed, an over is reclassified, a disciplinary sanction alters a points total, a result is amended after a protest. Our standings and archive figures are updated when the organiser sends us the revision, which may be hours or days later. Figures compiled from club records before 2021, when CricLane began, come from multiple sources and occasionally disagree with each other.

Our batting index, bowling index, club form ladder and win-probability figures are models we built. They are opinions expressed in numbers, not measurements, and reasonable people can and do disagree with them. Net run rate, qualification scenarios and tie-breakers shown on CricLane are our calculation of the organiser’s published rules; where the organiser calculates them differently, the organiser is right.

5. The official record always prevails

Where anything published on CricLane conflicts with the official record of the relevant governing body, tournament organiser, official scorer or match officials, the official record prevails and ours is wrong. The umpires’ and official scorers’ decision on the field of play is final; nothing on this site overrides it, appeals it or evidences it.

6. Fantasy content is opinion, not a guaranteed outcome

Fantasy articles, captaincy picks, differential shouts, projected points and matchup notes on CricLane are the personal analytical opinions of the named writer at the time of writing. They are published for information and for the argument they start.

They are not advice, not a prediction of what will happen, and carry no guarantee of any kind. Team news changes at the toss: a player named as a certain starter can be rested an hour before the game, a pitch can behave nothing like it did last week, and rain can end an innings at any point. Past performance of a pick, a model or a writer is not indicative of future results.

CricLane does not operate a fantasy contest, does not accept entry fees or stakes, and does not hold user money for any game of skill or chance. If you enter a paid contest on a third-party platform you do so entirely at your own risk and judgement, on that platform’s terms. We accept no liability for entry fees, contest losses or forgone winnings.

7. Skill-based gaming: 18+ and state restrictions

If you choose to play real-money fantasy cricket on a third-party platform, note the following before you do.

• You must be 18 or over. Real-money fantasy platforms in India are for adults only. Nothing in the CricLane fantasy section is directed at anyone under eighteen.
• Your state’s law decides. Games of skill are treated differently from games of chance across India, and the position varies by state. Several states — including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Odisha, Nagaland and Sikkim, among others — restrict or prohibit paid online gaming, and the position changes with new legislation and court rulings. Check the law in your own state; the list here is illustrative and not legal advice.
• Winnings are taxable. Net winnings from online games are taxable in India and subject to deduction of tax at source. That is between you, the platform and the Income Tax Department.
• It can cause harm. Play within limits you can afford to lose. If gaming is affecting your finances, your work or your relationships, please seek professional help.

8. No betting, gambling or financial advice

CricLane does not provide betting tips, odds, staking advice, “sure shots”, session or fancy markets, or any other form of gambling guidance. We do not publish bookmaker odds. We do not carry betting, gambling, real-money fantasy or loan-app advertising anywhere on this site. We have no affiliation, partnership, referral arrangement or revenue share with any betting or gambling operator, and we accept no affiliate revenue from one.

Nothing on CricLane is financial, investment or tax advice, and nothing is an invitation or encouragement to gamble. Betting law in India varies by state and several states prohibit it outright. If you choose to gamble, that is entirely your decision, taken at your own risk and your own legal exposure, and we accept no liability of any kind for money staked, lost or won by anyone who read something on this site.

Match-fixing and spot-fixing are prohibited on our platform and reported. If someone approaches you about a match, tell the organiser and the police.

9. Academy and coach listings are directory entries, not endorsements

Academies, coaches and grounds listed on CricLane are independent businesses that pay to be listed in a directory. A listing — including one carrying a “verified” badge — is not an endorsement, a recommendation, a ranking of quality, or a warranty of safety, coaching standard or outcome.

Verification means a CricLane field officer visited on a given date, recorded the surface type and net condition, confirmed the head coach’s certification number with the issuing board, and noted the coach-to-player ratio for each batch, and that the listing is re-audited every twelve months. It is a snapshot of observable facts on the day of the visit. It is not continuous supervision, a background-check guarantee, a child-safety audit or an inspection of insurance.

Ratings shown against an academy are the average of reviews left by users, not an assessment by CricLane. Fees, batch timings and coach availability are supplied by the academy and change without notice. Please visit, ask about child-protection policy, coach background checks, first-aid cover and insurance, and satisfy yourself before enrolling a child. Your contract for coaching is with the academy, not with CricLane.

10. Tournament listings, entry fees and match-day risk

Tournament listings are published by independent organisers who supply the details. CricLane verifies the ground booking, umpiring arrangement and declared prize money before a listing goes live, but we are not the promoter, host or organiser of any tournament unless the listing says “Organised by CricLane”. Entry fees are paid to the organiser; CricLane never holds entry fees or prize money.

Formats, fixtures, venues, timings, prize money and rules can change, and tournaments can be cancelled or abandoned for rain, ground unavailability or insufficient entries. Slot counts, closing dates and “filling fast” flags are indicative and update on a delay.

Cricket carries a genuine risk of injury. Playing in any tournament, trial or net session reached through CricLane is at your own risk. Ensure your side is properly equipped and insured, and satisfy yourself that the organiser has arranged first-aid cover.

11. Product availability, pricing and depiction

Shop listings show current availability at the time the page was generated; stock can sell out between your adding an item to the cart and completing checkout. Where an item becomes unavailable after you order, we cancel and refund in full.

Illustrations on product pages are stylised representations, not photographs, and colours may render differently on different screens. Sizes follow the size chart on the page — club kit runs to Indian sizing, so measure rather than guess. Weights, dimensions and grades for bats, balls and protective gear are the manufacturer’s specification and are subject to normal manufacturing variance.

Prices, offers and specifications may change without notice. Where an obvious pricing error occurs we may decline the order and refund in full, as set out in the Terms & Conditions. Protective equipment reduces but does not eliminate the risk of injury; use it as the manufacturer instructs and replace it when damaged.

12. Third-party content, links and user contributions

We link out to governing bodies, clubs, academies, statistics providers, ground booking services and video platforms because a useful page cites its sources. We do not control those destinations, we do not vet them continuously, and a link is not an endorsement of their content, products, safety or privacy practices. Once you follow a link you are on somebody else’s terms.

Club descriptions, match reports, squad details, reviews and comments are written by users, not by our staff, and are not verified before they appear. Reviews reflect one person’s experience. As an intermediary we moderate to our published rules and act on valid complaints, but we do not endorse user opinions and are not responsible for them. Report anything that breaches the Terms & Conditions and we will review it within the timelines in section 16.

13. Trade marks, names and no affiliation with BCCI, ICC or any league

CricLane is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the International Cricket Council (ICC), any State Cricket Association, the Indian Premier League, or any other league, franchise, governing body or broadcaster, unless a specific page expressly states an official partnership. We are an independent platform.

Club names, competition names, player names, league marks and governing-body marks appear on this site for the purposes of news reporting, review, criticism and identification. All such marks remain the property of their respective owners, and their appearance here implies no affiliation with, endorsement by or sponsorship from those owners. Where a club or organiser asks us to correct how their name or crest is represented, we will.

The clubs, players, coaches, academies and tournaments used in demonstration content on this website are illustrative examples created for the CricLane platform and are not real teams, individuals or events.

14. Corrections policy

We correct openly rather than quietly. Verified factual errors in editorial are fixed within one working day of confirmation, and the article carries a dated correction note at the foot explaining what was wrong and what changed. Significant errors that altered the meaning of a piece are additionally flagged in The Stump Mic.

Live scoreline errors are treated as urgent: report one and we will contact the scorer and usually have it corrected within fifteen minutes during play. Statistical corrections flow through to tables and rankings at the next recalculation, every Monday at 6:00 AM IST. Send corrections to info@catalystwebtrendz.com with the link and the error, or use the contact page. We do not silently delete published match records except where required by law or a court order.

15. No guarantee of outcomes and limitation of liability

Nothing on CricLane guarantees any outcome — not a result, not a selection, not a fantasy score, not a coaching improvement, not a place in a tournament, not a delivery date. Predictions are predictions and models are models.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to the limits set out in section 17 of our Terms & Conditions, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the content of this site, including delayed or incorrect scores, revised statistics, fantasy analysis, a tournament or academy listing, a third-party link, service interruption or downtime. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

16. Governing law and how to reach us

This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of India and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi, subject to the dispute-resolution provisions in section 21 of our Terms & Conditions. It should be read together with those Terms and with our Privacy Policy.

We update this page when what we publish changes or when the law does; the “last updated” date at the top always reflects the version in force. To request a correction, raise a complaint about content, or ask a question about anything on this page, contact the Grievance Officer using the details below. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days.
