1. Agreement, acceptance and electronic record

These Terms & Conditions form a binding contract between you and Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd., D 29, 2nd Floor, Greater Kailash Enclave 2, Greater Kailash, New Delhi – 110048, which owns and operates CricLane.in. By loading any page of this site, creating an account, registering a team, booking an academy trial, downloading the scorer app, subscribing to The Stump Mic or placing an order in the shop, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using CricLane.

These Terms are published as an electronic record under section 4 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. They do not require a physical or digital signature. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, both of which are incorporated by reference.

2. Eligibility, minors and parental consent

You must be at least eighteen years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to open a CricLane account in your own name, register a team, list an academy or buy from the shop.

Cricket is played by children, so minors are welcome on the platform — but only through an adult. A player profile, academy trial booking or age-group registration for anyone under eighteen must be created and managed by a parent or lawful guardian from their own account. That adult accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf, gives verifiable consent under section 9 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and remains responsible for everything done under that profile. See section 5 of the Privacy Policy for how that consent is verified.

A club official registering an age-group squad warrants that a parent or guardian of every minor in that squad has consented to the registration and to the sharing of the squad list with the organiser, and must be able to produce that consent on request.

3. Your account and your duties

One person, one account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable: you may not share, sell, rent or lend your login, and you may not register a display name or club name that impersonates a player, coach, official, journalist, club or a member of our staff.

You agree to give accurate information and keep it current — a wrong mobile number means a missed fixture change and a wrong age band means an ineligible player. You are responsible for everything done under your account and for keeping your password and one-time passwords secure. Tell us immediately at info@catalystwebtrendz.com if you believe your account has been compromised. We may require mobile or email verification before you can register a team or score a match.

Creating a club page, adding a squad, viewing scorecards, using the scorer app and reading the site are free and will remain free. Our revenue comes from organiser listing fees and the shop.

4. Club, team and tournament registration

Tournament listings on CricLane are published by independent organisers. When you register a team you enter into a contract with that organiser for participation in that tournament. CricLane provides the registration platform, verifies the listing and passes your entry on; we are not the promoter, host or organiser of any tournament unless the listing expressly says “Organised by CricLane”.

Before a tournament goes live we verify the ground booking, the umpiring arrangement and the declared prize money. We do not guarantee that a tournament will run, that fixtures will be kept, or that a ground will be playable. Each listing carries the organiser’s own rulebook — eligibility, squad size, over limits, playing conditions, overseas and guest-player rules, tie-breakers and the reserve-day policy — and that rulebook governs the competition.

Squad and eligibility

The registering captain or manager warrants that every listed player is eligible under the organiser’s rules, is correctly stated as to age and club, and has consented to being registered. Age fraud, a ringer registered under another name, or a player registered for two clubs in the same competition are all grounds for immediate disqualification of the team, forfeiture of the entry fee by the organiser, and suspension of the officials’ CricLane accounts.

Squad changes after the entry deadline are at the organiser’s discretion. Fixture, venue and timing changes are made by the organiser and notified through CricLane; check your fixtures the evening before you play.

5. Entry fees, cancellation and forfeiture

CricLane never holds entry fees, prize money or user stakes. Entry fees are paid to the organiser through their own collection route, on their own terms. Prize money is paid by the organiser to the winning teams. We take no commission on either, and we are not an escrow agent, a payment aggregator or a guarantor of the organiser’s obligations.

Every tournament listing publishes the organiser’s refund and cancellation policy before you pay. As a minimum standard, an organiser listing on CricLane must agree to refund the full entry fee where the organiser cancels the tournament or fails to provide the advertised ground, format or prize money, and to publish a clear withdrawal window for teams. Where the organiser is at fault, refunds are due from the organiser.

Forfeiture rules — for a walkover, a late arrival, a short side, an ineligible player, an abandoned match or a disciplinary sanction — are set out in the organiser’s rulebook and are applied by the match officials on the day. CricLane records the result the officials report; we do not adjudicate it.

If an organiser fails to honour a published refund policy, tell us. We investigate, we publish the outcome on the listing, and we delist organisers who do not put it right. That is a platform sanction, not a substitute for your own remedy against the organiser under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

6. Code of conduct, fair play and anti-doping

CricLane exists for the game, so conduct rules are not decoration. On CricLane platforms and at any event you reach through them, you must not: abuse, threaten or harass anyone on grounds of religion, caste, gender, sexuality, region, disability or nationality; abuse or intimidate umpires, scorers or ground staff; make or publish an allegation of cheating without evidence; post another person’s private information; or coordinate brigading of a player, official or club.

Fair play and match integrity

Match-fixing, spot-fixing, deliberately losing or under-performing, approaching or being approached by a corruptor, betting on any match you are involved in, and passing inside information about team composition, pitch or conditions for reward are all absolutely prohibited. Any such conduct is reported to the organiser and, where an offence is disclosed, to the police. Several Indian states also treat match-fixing as a criminal offence in its own right.

Anti-doping

Participants in tournaments listed on CricLane are expected to comply with the World Anti-Doping Code as adopted by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) and with the anti-doping rules of the competition’s governing body, including in-competition and out-of-competition testing where the organiser has arranged it. CricLane does not conduct testing and takes no part in results management; a sanction imposed by NADA or a governing body will, however, be honoured on our platform, and a player serving a sanction may not be registered for a listed tournament.

7. Academy, coach and organiser listing terms

These terms apply if you list an academy, a coaching programme, a ground or a tournament on CricLane.

• You warrant that you are authorised to list the business, that all facts in the listing — surface type, net count, coach certification level and number, batch sizes, coach-to-player ratio, fees and timings — are accurate, and that you hold every registration, licence, permission and insurance the law requires.
• Academies working with children must maintain a written child-protection policy, verify the background of every coach and staff member with access to minors, and comply with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 including its mandatory reporting duty. This is a condition of listing, not a recommendation.
• A CricLane field officer may visit, photograph the facility, verify the head coach’s certification with the issuing board and re-audit the listing every twelve months. Verification is a check of the facts we could observe on the day — it is not a warranty of quality, safety or outcome, and it is not an endorsement.
• Enquiry data we pass to you may be used only to respond to that enquiry. You may not add it to a marketing list, sell it, or retain it after the enquirer asks you to delete it.
• Listing fees, where applicable, are quoted in writing, are payable in advance and are exclusive of GST unless stated. We may suspend or remove a listing for inaccuracy, an unresolved complaint pattern, a child-safety concern or non-payment, and we will tell you why.
• You indemnify us against claims arising from your listing, your premises, your staff or your services.

8. The CricLane shop — pricing, order acceptance and shipping

The CricLane shop is operated by Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd. and is subject to the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

Pricing. All prices are in Indian rupees and, unless the product page says otherwise, are inclusive of GST. The total landed price — item price, taxes, shipping and any other charge — is shown to you before you confirm payment, and no charge is added afterwards. We do not price differently for different customers. Prices, offers and specifications may change without notice, but never after your order is accepted.

Order acceptance. Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation for that item; an order acknowledgement or a successful payment is not acceptance. If a product is out of stock, mis-priced by an obvious error, or cannot be delivered to your PIN code, we may decline the order and will refund you in full within seven working days.

Shipping. Orders are dispatched within two working days and typically delivered in three to seven working days depending on the PIN code; the expected window is shown on the product page. Risk passes on delivery. Delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by courier delays, weather and public holidays — we will keep you informed and you may cancel a materially delayed order for a full refund. Country of origin, seller details and the manufacturer’s or importer’s details are shown on every product page as the E-Commerce Rules require. Custom club kit made to your crest and player names is manufactured to order and is treated as personalised goods.

9. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Cancellation before dispatch. You may cancel any order free of charge until it is dispatched, from your order history or by writing to us. We refund to the original payment instrument within seven working days of the cancellation.

Returns. Unused stock merchandise in its original packaging with tags intact may be returned within 7 days of delivery for a refund, or within 14 days for an exchange or store credit. Raise the request from your order history; we arrange a reverse pickup where the courier serves your PIN code, otherwise we reimburse reasonable return postage.

What cannot be returned — personalised or made-to-order club kit bearing a crest, name or number; items returned used, washed, damaged or with tags removed; and grip, inner-glove or hygiene items once the seal is broken. This does not apply where the item is defective, damaged in transit or not what you ordered.

Defective, damaged or wrong items. Tell us within 48 hours of delivery with a photograph. We replace the item or refund it in full, including the original shipping charge, at your choice. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Sale of Goods Act, 1930.

Refund timing. Approved refunds are initiated within 3 working days of the returned item reaching us and passing inspection, and reach your account within a further 5 to 7 working days depending on your bank or UPI provider.

10. Live scoring, the scorer app and data accuracy

The CricLane scorer app is free for club officials. Matches are scored ball by ball by the club official operating the app, not by CricLane staff and not from an official broadcast feed. Scorecards, tables, run rates and rankings are therefore unofficial and provisional. Where our record conflicts with the official scorers or the organiser’s record, the official record prevails. Full detail is in the Disclaimer.

If you score a match you warrant that you are authorised by your club or the organiser to do so, that you will record deliveries honestly and promptly, and that you will not falsify a result, a statistic or a player’s identity. We may correct or withdraw a scorecard we have reason to believe is falsified, and suspend the scorer’s account.

The live-score animations on this website are a cosmetic simulation used for demonstration and are not a live feed.

11. Fantasy content is opinion, not a betting product

The CricLane fantasy section publishes statistical analysis and opinion: form curves, matchup data, projected points and captaincy arguments written by our analysts. It is editorial content, not a product you can stake money on.

CricLane does not operate a fantasy contest, does not accept entry fees or stakes, does not hold user money for any game, and takes no affiliate or referral revenue from any real-money fantasy or betting operator. Nothing in the fantasy section is a prediction, a guarantee, an inducement to play, or investment, financial or betting advice. If you choose to enter a contest on a third-party platform, that is your decision, at your own risk, on that platform’s terms and subject to the law of your own state.

12. Our intellectual property

The CricLane name, logo, the “Play · Score · Belong” line, all editorial, illustration, page design, source code, the scorer app, and the compiled arrangement of our fixtures, scorecards, standings, rankings and statistical archive are owned by or licensed to Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd. and are protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999.

An individual score is a fact and nobody owns it. Our compilation, correction, structuring and presentation of those facts is ours. You may quote a short extract of an article or a single scorecard line with a visible credit and a working link back. You may not republish a full article, mirror our tables, present our statistics as your own dataset, or use CricLane content as training data for a machine-learning model, without a written licence. We rate-limit, block and, where necessary, pursue unlicensed bulk extraction.

13. Your content and the licence you grant us

You keep ownership of everything you post — club descriptions, squad details, match reports, comments, reviews of an academy, and the ball-by-ball data you enter through the scorer app.

By posting publicly on CricLane you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt for format, excerpt and syndicate that content in connection with CricLane, The Stump Mic and our social accounts, with attribution to your display name or club. The licence exists so that we can put your scorecard on a league table and quote a good match report in an article. It survives deletion of your account only for copies already published in an edition or article; your live posts are unlinked from your profile when you delete your account.

You warrant that you own or are licensed to post everything you submit, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or breach any law. Reviews of an academy or coach must be based on genuine first-hand experience; we remove incentivised, fake and competitor-planted reviews.

14. Prohibited conduct

You must not use CricLane to: do anything unlawful; host, display, publish or share information that is defamatory, obscene, paedophilic, invasive of another’s privacy, insulting on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or otherwise prohibited by Rule 3(1)(b) of the Intermediary Guidelines; impersonate another person or club; promote betting, gambling, match-fixing or a loan app; upload malware; interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts or networks (an offence under sections 43 and 66 of the Information Technology Act, 2000); circumvent a rate limit, block or moderation restriction; scrape or bulk-extract our data outside ordinary search-engine indexing; harvest other users’ contact details; or resell any part of the service.

15. Third-party links, partners and advertising

CricLane links to and lists third parties — academies, coaches, organisers, grounds, governing bodies, courier partners and video platforms. We do not control them, we do not continuously vet them, and a link or a listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation or a warranty of quality or safety. Your dealings with them, including any payment, are between you and them.

We do not carry betting, gambling, real-money fantasy or loan-app advertising anywhere on CricLane. Where any commercial arrangement affects what appears on a page, it is labelled.

16. Disclaimers of warranty

CricLane is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work hard to keep the site and the scorer app up during play, but we give no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, secure or free of viruses, or that any defect will be corrected.

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement in relation to the site, the app and the content. We give no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of scores, statistics, rankings, fantasy analysis, tournament listings or academy listings; the Disclaimer sets out those limits in full. Nothing in this section applies to goods sold through the shop, which carry the statutory guarantees available to a consumer under Indian law.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or loss arising from: a delayed, interrupted or incorrect score or statistic; a decision you took on the basis of fantasy analysis or an opinion piece; a tournament that was cancelled, rescheduled or run badly by its organiser; the conduct, quality, safety or omissions of any academy, coach, organiser, ground or courier; injury sustained while playing cricket; or any act or omission of another user.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you actually paid us in that period, and where you have paid us nothing, to ₹5,000. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees and agents against any claim, demand, proceeding, loss, damage, penalty or reasonable legal cost arising out of or in connection with: your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law; content you posted, uploaded or scored; a registration you submitted containing false player, age or eligibility particulars; your listing, premises, staff or services if you are a partner academy, coach or organiser; or your infringement of a third party’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights. We will notify you of any claim to which this applies and you may not settle it in a way that imposes an obligation on us without our written consent.

19. Suspension and termination

You may stop using CricLane at any time and delete your account from Account Settings. Deletion is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate an account or a listing, with notice where practicable and immediately where not, for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, for conduct that exposes us or other users to legal or safety risk, for suspected age fraud or match-fixing, for falsified scoring, for non-payment of listing fees, or where required by law or a court or government order. Where we terminate a paid listing for reasons other than your breach, we refund the unused portion pro rata.

Sections 12, 13, 16, 17, 18 and 21, and any accrued payment obligations, survive termination. Published match records remain published; your profile is unlinked from them.

20. Grievance redressal and intermediary status

CricLane is an intermediary within the meaning of section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 in respect of content posted by users, clubs, organisers and academies. We do not initiate the transmission, select the receiver or modify user content, and we claim the protection of section 79 of that Act. We observe due diligence under Rule 3 of the Intermediary Guidelines and act on valid takedown notices and on court or government orders.

If you have a complaint about content, about a listing, about another user, or about how we have applied these Terms, write to the Grievance Officer using the details in the block below this policy. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days. Complaints about content in the nature of impersonation, or which exposes a private area of the body, are actioned within 24 hours. Decisions may be appealed to a Grievance Appellate Committee constituted under Rule 3A of the Intermediary Guidelines.

21. Governing law, jurisdiction and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Before commencing any formal proceeding, both sides agree to attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith for thirty days, beginning with a written notice to the Grievance Officer at the address below. Any dispute not resolved within that period shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual consent under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration is New Delhi and the proceedings shall be conducted in English. The arbitrator’s award is final and binding.

Subject to the arbitration agreement, the courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from approaching a District, State or National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or either party from seeking urgent interim relief from a competent court.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms. Material amendments are published on this page with a revised “last updated” date and announced on the site and in The Stump Mic at least fourteen days before they take effect. Continuing to use CricLane after that date is acceptance of the amended Terms; if you do not accept them, close your account before the effective date. Amendments required by a change in law or a regulatory direction may take effect immediately.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the rest continues in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between us regarding CricLane.
